Lekadia in my Sanna jumpsuit. She is gorgeous, fun and not afraid to challenge the bridal norm. This bride right here, is my kinda girl. Blessings upon blessing to you and your lifetime together, Lekadia.
This couple is the real deal!! Fun, adorable and all with Island flare, this gorgeous North Shore wedding is perfection. The best part is that the bride and I became friends through the whole process. I love my job. Amber wears the silky, pinky Alana gown and isn't absolutely lovely on her?!

Tina lost her mom when she was a child. I had the privilege to create Tina's dream wedding dress out of the very gown her mother wore on her wedding day. Her mom had great taste and a gorgeous 80's style dress that had no lack of fabric for us to work with. I felt honored being apart of such a monumental moment. This dress dawns lovely illusion lace and a beaded bodice attached to a gorgeous silk pillar skirt. I loved the V-back on this gown, along with the fun back slit.
Tina also wore a Joelle Perry RTW jumpsuit for her reception. I LOVE how she was able to get down and dance her heart out, feeling ultra comfortable and look gorgeous at the same time. How fun is this amazing couple?! Thank you for trusting me with your wedding dresses, Tina!! Blessings to you guys.
This gown is made from gorgeous printed silk fabric. Daralyn was an absolutely stunning bride who trusted me to create something spectacular for her special day. When I, in slight hesitation, asked her what she thought about making her gown out of a beautifully printed silk, she full heartily jumped on the idea. Boy does that make the designer in me happy! She was ready for the adventure and loved the idea of stepping out from conventionality. This dress looked incredible amongst the tropical setting and made her stand out and shine brightly on her day. Thanks for being such a gem, Daralyn!

This is my baby shower!! I am so blessed, it's crazy. To have these women in my life who've poured into me and now my baby boy will get to experience the same love. Life is a beautiful thing. Sooo this technically doesn't have anything to do with my wedding gowns but who cares?! I know you all will appreciate these unreal photos by B mussack. I mean... she's UNBELIEVABLE. Also, this staging?!? If you haven't heard of Roam Rentals, now is the time to educate yourself. Oh ya, we also had Hawaii's newest, most-amazing open air photo booth The Ki'i Booth, which NEEDS to be at your next party. And last, but certainly not least, Hawaii's most talented henna artist, Maya Ball, was there giving all my guests the most gorgeous henna you've ever seen. All together guests enjoyed a henna station, Haku making station, a photo booth where they could wear vintage Hawaiian mu'umu'u's for the pictures and they participated in a mobile making station where everyone made a pom pom to add to baby's mobile. Huge thank you to all my friends who helped out so much that day and a HUGE thank you to my dear friend, Maile King for making my crazy dreams a reality. Enjoy.
How do I love this so? Let me count the ways. Brooke wore this vibrant, fitted, reversible gown I made for her from two separate vintage mu'umu'u's. This gown fit her like a glove, was completely backless and dawned an amazing front slit. She also asked that all her guests came dressed in white. Ya.. amazing, right?!
Brooke got married to her long time Love in Waimea Valley. This dress.. on Brooke... in the most beautiful and special valley... yielded tropical Hawaiiana perfection.

Such a special gown. It's been a year in the making and I am so, SO excited to finally be able to share it with you all. Masumi is an absolutely stunning Japanese bride who fell in love with an american Military man. Together, they have the most gorgeous daughter you've ever seen. When I first met Masumi, I knew she was my type of bride. Unlike most other traditionally-raised Japanese women, Masumi is a through-and-through free spirit. Upon our first meeting, she was draped in gorgeous crystal jewelry (of the best taste), wearing bohemian style clothing and sporting the most adorable, delicately placed tattoos. She explained to me how she was from a very traditional part of Japan. What I saw before me was a women who loved and appreciated where she had come from but was strong enough to not allow it to squash the vibrate spirit God had given her. She is her own woman. I knew I had a challenge to create a gown that so embodied such strength and individualism allowing her wonderful style to come through. Here's what we created.
This gown shows the marriage of opposites can indeed be a perfect match. This gown is two parts; a beaded camisole and flowing mermaid skirt. The top features a low back, blousing silhouette and stunning glass beading. The skirt has a flattering fitted top portion which pours into the grand flowing meriand train. A match made in Heaven, indeed.

Oh this gown...this wedding... this couple. So, so special to me. I was so beyond honored to have been able to create a custom wedding gown for my new sister-in-law. This is why I do custom wedding dresses, to be able to create a gown that so perfectly embodies the bride. To me, this dress just screams "Jessie". From the delicately beaded bodice and sheer sleeves, to the flow skirt and backless top, this dress was made for her. It's almost as amazing as she is.
I'm so excited to share with you guys some of my favorite pictures from this wedding. I added quite a bit more background pictures then my normal blog posts, and it's because this is a wedding full of my family and friends, how could I limit myself?!
I truly come from the most amazing place on the planet (Maui), from the most amazing community around and married into the greatest family out there. Jessie, I'm so extremely glad that you now get to experience the love I've been so blessed to have been apart of. I couldn't be more thrilled to have such an amazing woman as a new sister. Andrew and I love you dearly, Shane and Jessie!!

This gorgeous mama-to-be came to me just a few weeks pregnant. We had to design a gown that would work with her body at five months pregnant, not having a clue what it would look like. We came up with this beautiful stretch lace top and a stunning multi colored, layered wrap skirt. How fun is the cutout detail at the neckline?
Erica was so fun to work with; she extremely kind and down-to-earth. My favorite part of this job is how we become friends during the month/s of spending time with a bride creating their dream wedding dress, and then we stay friends. Thats my favorite part.

It was a gorgeous semi-cloudy morning up here on the North Shore. The sandbar was brilliantly showing off it's million blue shades. The sea breeze was pretty strong, blowing the fabric of my Malia gown in the loveliest of ways. Huge thanks to Corinne of What A Day! Photography for capturing every perfect moment.
This wedding was just featured on Style Me Pretty! What an exemplary wedding where everyone did a phenomenal job start to finish. I mean these details!?! SO fun, original and showed off the couples personalities perfectly.
When Brooke first came to me, I was completely ecstatic to get to work with her. She is gorgeous, adventurous and has found a home in the islands. She came up to my studio, where we talked for hours exchanging love stories and going over her vision for her upcoming wedding. She, then, tried on the Alana gown and there was no looking back. The dress fit like a glove and literally looked like I had made it specifically for her. It even perfectly daunted her (coolest ever) back tattoo like a dream.
These amazing photos are by the talented Heather Cook Elliot. Enjoy!!

I do love film and I love supporting the resurgence of film wedding photography. I was blessed to work with a couple girls who are dedicated to this exquisite art form and they just so happen to be amazing talented women and dear friends. Kylie Martin and B Mussack are two Hawaii photographers that should be on your radar!! I usually am not one to model my own designs but then again I do love any excuse to get amazing pictures of me and my husband making out. Win-win. I'm wearing my Lydie rtw gown. See what we came up with below!!
